After years of being dubbed a "workaholic" by family and friends, I decided to take a one-year sabbatical dedicated to culture and adventure travel. This was a dream I had since my late teens, influenced by a few friends who took long stints of time away from school or work to explore the world. I feel so fortunate to have a husband who was supportive of me pursuing this dream.

But this adventure turned out to be more amazing than I could have imagined and I had the time to keep a daiily journal to capture my experiences. I summarized some of these experiences and itineratires into travelogues. I've posted those here, along with a small photo selection from each country. I've included a couple of other more recent trips here as well.

If you are thinking about taking such an adventure, I urge you to turn your thinking into action. This was an experience of a lifetime. I hope to do this several more times in my life.
